Superheroes and Villains (Ages 4-12)
This week will be all about creating an original superhero or villain. Make a camp wide comic strip, and of course a “powerful Olympics”, with events like water balloon toss, three-legged mutant race and save the world obstacle course. On the first day we encourage the kids to come dressed in their favourite superheroes, or villain costume.
Monday
March 11
Monday’s focus is on the kids creating their own original superheroes or villains. They can work in groups or individually. They can come up with the back story, what the character looks like, which powers they posses, and a catch phrase.
Tuesday
March 12
Tuesday’s focus is on starting the camp wide comic strip. The comic strip will consist of the drawings of all the kids’ superheroes or villains, which catch phrase their character says, and whatever appropriate scenes they would like to draw.
Wednesday
March 13
Wednesday’s focus is on “training” for the powerful Olympics. Warming up their bodies in games of super octopus, practicing pool noodle bench press, speed of light running and more.
Thursday
March 14
Thursday’s focus is on the powerful Olympics. Now that the heroes and villains are trained and ready, it’s time to unleash the power to see who the mightiest are.
Friday
March 15
Friday’s focus is on bringing their created characters to life. Kids are encouraged to come dressed as their created hero or villain.
