The Boys and Girls Club of Durham has been operating for over 50 years, which means we have plenty of alumni out there. This year we have placed a huge emphasis on reconnection with you, our alumni. Our goal is to hear your stories and reflect on your time at the club. As alumni, you offer a unique story about your club experience. We want to hear your voice and gain your vision about how the club impacted you and those closest around you.
Boys and Girls Club is fortunate to have a former Club kid who is still an active sponsor and volunteer with the Boys and Girls Club of Duhram. Sandra Deering is an insurance and financial advisor and the owner of the Co-operators Insurance Agency in Courtice.
Sandra attended the Boys and Girls Club of Durham form 1971 to 1975. Her favourite snack was cheese and crackers, and still is to this day. While at Eastview her favourite thing to do was play in the games room.
Since stepping down as a board member in 2016 after serving a six year term, she has maintained her ties to the Boys and Girls Club by attending and supporting events such as Cowboy Chic.
