Lisa Coulter-Dominguez is a resident of Whitby and grew up in Oshawa. Lisa has a strong affiliation with the Boys and Girls Club having taken swimming lessons as a child swimming at the Eulalie location and later became a volunteer at a satellite school program during the evenings and on weekends. Lisa believes the Boys and Girls Club provides a safe, welcoming place for children of all ages to learn and have fun! Currently Lisa works in real estate sales with Re/Max Jazz in Oshawa. Prior to this, Lisa has over 30 years of Human Resources experience in the IT sector. She holds a degree from Wilfrid Laurier University and completed a graduate program at the illustrious Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto as well as having received the highly lauded designation of CHRL – Certified Human Resources Leader. Lisa loves to travel with her husband, loves animals and helps at a rescue, likes to read and golf.
Christine is currently serving as the Past President of the Board of Directors, and has over 30 years of Human Resource experience. She has an established track record of success, and a genuine concern for people-care issues. She joined the HR Committee of the Boys and Girls Club of Durham in 2013 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2015. Christine has also chaired the Governance and Nominating Committee since 2016. She is dedicated to the Boys and Girls Club, and has volunteered for Race4Kids for the past 4 years. As a life-long resident of the Durham region, Christine appreciates having the opportunity to give back to the children and youth of her community. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and playing with her grandchildren.
Rhonda has been the Financial Officer with the Durham Region Association of REALTORS® for over 22 years. Having sat on many Boards and Committees over the years, Rhonda has a clear understanding of the importance of having safe and educational places for children to grow.
Jasmine is a resident of Pickering and has been on the Board of Directors since 2016. In her professional career Jasmine has worked for IBM Canada for over 19 years with a focus on Finance and Operations. She has two young sons and is excited to work with an organization with a positive influence on children in the community.
Nikki McPhee joined the Boys and Girls Club of Durham’s Board of Directors in May 2018. Nikki’s family have been longtime Club Members and serving as a Director is her way of giving back to the Club. Nikki has 20+ years in the dental field in various positions and enjoys spending her free time with her family.
Heather Cook was called to the Ontario bar in 2002 and has spent her entire legal career with the Durham Crown Attorney’s Office. Heather has a long-standing interest in matters of youth justice and was involved in the early development of the Youth Justice Committee. For the past 2 years she was responsible for case managing all the youth files in the entire Durham Region and got to see first-hand the positive impact that the Youth Justice Department of the Boys and Girls Club of Durham has on the community it serves. Heather is looking forward to putting her professional experience to good use in working with the members of the Board, staff and volunteers to enhance the mission, vision and values of the Club.
Erin Cimino is a professional Career Advisor & Educator. Erin managed a Sectoral Partnership Program, an initiative of Human Resources Development Canada for the plastics industry for several years. She was seconded to the US Department of Labor for one year to share her expertise in skills development. Currently, she develops and delivers career education curriculum on behalf of the General Contractors’ Association of Toronto (GCAT), serving the students of the eleven GTA school boards, local area colleges and universities as well as internationally trained professionals (IEP’s), educators and affiliated associations.
Erin oversees a team of 250 industry volunteers who are instrumental in delivering the GCAT Career Edge curriculum and working with partner organizations such as Junior Achievement, Habitat for Humanity, Ontario Society of Professional Engineers, The Learning Partnership (Take Our Kids to Work Day), Canadian Association of Women in Construction and Local Area Workforce Planning Boards.
Erin is also the founder and principal of Detail.Defined, a consulting firm focused on providing public relations, corporate event management and fundraising services.
Erin understands the importance of encouraging children and youth to have new experiences while building positive relationships and developing confidence. She believes that each student should have an opportunity to explore different career opportunities so they can identify and pursue their passion.
Fareeda is a Financial Advisor with over 25 years of experience and a resident of Durham Region in the financial services industry. Fareeda specializes in financial planning for affluent families, business owners and Charitable Foundations to generate tax efficient income, while protecting and growing their businesses and wealth.
Wanting to pay forward what she has learned with her professional career, Fareeda is devoted to putting her experience to achieving the goals of the Boys and Girls Club of Durham.
