What do I do when I see someone else being bullied?

You can help!

One of the reasons bullying continues is those who see it happen don't do anything to try to stop the bullying. Next time you see someone being bullied, try one of these strategies:

1. Tell someone who can help - that could be a teacher, parent or other adult

2. Stand up for the child being bullied

3. Invite the child who is being bullied to play with you somewhere else - bullies are sometimes intimidated by bigger groups and are less likely to continue bullying if their victim is with friends

4. Comfort the person being bullied and let them know what the bully did wasn't fair and they didn't deserve it

5. Don't bully the bully - speaking out helps, bullying back doesn't help
